CYCLE THROUGH THE VINEYARDS

There is no doubt that the best way to explore the Colchagua Valley is by bike.  Rent a bike at our Hostel and discover this beautiful region. We have different sizes and every bike is equipped with panniers for your comfort. We have a few different routes, feel free to contact us for more details.

TAKE A WALK

Only a 10 minute walk away you can stroll around the Laura Hartwig winery and enjoy a glass of red wine. If you wish to continue a bit further, Casa Colchagua offers an amazing Pisco Sour. On your way, back you can hit the stores of Santa Cruz or visit the fruit and vegetables market (Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday)

HORSEBACKRIDING

Santa Cruz is known for its "Huasos", a skilled horseman comparable to the north American cowboy. We do not expect from you to become one but you can be a Huaso for a day and enjoy the beauty of Chile on the back of a horse. Contact us for an unforgettable experience.

WINDSURFING

At Lago Vichuquen you can test your coordination skills and strength with a beginners class in Windsurfing! Don't worry the staff will take care of you and provide an excellent experience. 

BIRDWATCHING

Close to the pacific coast lies, a little lagoon called Laguna de Torca. It is a hotspot for birdwatching, with regular sights of cormorants, blue herons and different ducks. 

STARGAZING

If you haven't seen the stars in Atacama this is your chance! Chile is known for it's clear skies and fantastic stargazing. Enjoy professional tour only a 30 minutes drive away from Santa Cruz away.

FUEGOS DE APALTA

Let's be honest, you cannot leave Santa Cruz without a visit at Fuegos de Apalta. The restaurant belongs to the renowned Chef Francis Mallman (yes the guy from Netflix). Situated in the middle of the Montes winery it offers stunning views. Enjoy a fantastic meal from the famous grill and appreciate the first class service of Fuegos de Apalta. Ah and yes, a glass of wine.

CASA COLCHAGUA

You are thinking of a traditional Chilean dinner today. Head to Casa Colchagua by bike or foot and enjoy a scrumptious meal with wines made just meters away. With the correct timing, you will be able to see the sunset behind the mountains. 

RAYUELA WINE AND GRILL

You always wanted to eat at a winery? Then look no further than Rayuela by Viña Viu Manent. Enjoy modern seasonal cuisine as well as classic meat dishes while you sip on that fresh Rosé you just ordered. After lunch you can walk around the winery or sit in one of the sun chairs at the nearby cafe.

VIÑA MONTGRAS

If you want to learn a bit about wine or you are already an expert it doesn't matter, at Montgras you will have fun and will learn something at the same time. Competent guides show you the winery from another angle and the tour finishes with... an excellent tasting.

VIÑA MAQUIS

The Maquis winery is one of the oldest properties in the entire valley. Enjoy an entertaining tour with small groups. The winery is situated within two rivers and has a wonderful picnic area that you are able to use free of charge (ask at the reception).

CLOS APALTA

Founded by the owners of Grand Marnier the Clos Apalta is one of the most exclusive wineries in the valley. The tour includes a panoramic view of Apalta, one of the most famous terroirs in Chile. Get ready for a new insights and knowledgeable guides.
